On Sexuality - What have they done with my song, Ma?

Gregorio Kohon (London)

The subject of my intended presentation was sexuality. Since then, a paper of mine on bisexuality was published, in which I examined, among other things, the confusion between gender and sexuality in the contemporary psychoanalytic literature ("Bye-bye, sexuality", in Rosine J. Perelberg (Editor), Psychic Bisexuality - A British-French Dialogue, pp 258-276, Routledge/The Institute of Psychoanalysis, 2018).

In the present lecture, I will refer to the differences between Fliess's and Freud's concepts of bisexuality, as elaborated in the original published chapter. This will to be followed by considerations on Freud's betrayal of his own notion, with references to the Splitting of the Ego and the question of symbolic impoverishment (the subject of my next book).

He edited "The Greening Psychoanalyses" (with Rosine Perelberg, 2017). His novel "Papagayo Rojo, Pata de Palo" (Red Parrot, Wooen Leg, 2007, 2008) was finalist in the 2001 Fernando Lara Prize.
